Have you been struggling with your weight and body image most of your life?
You’ll be glad you opened this blog.
What I want to share with you is called…
The Age Of Your Emotional Body
If you are challenged with an issue that has consumed you most of your life like trying to lose weight, you are stuck at an emotionally younger age when it comes to losing weight.
If your weight problem started when you were in your teens, then the actions, thoughts, and feelings you have in regards to your weight are still that of a teenager.
Something happened in the teen-years that affected you so deeply it created a pattern in your brain around food and body image. You may not remember right away what it was.
Clients who work with me begin to gain insights they never knew about themselves because of this one concept and it changes their life!
It doesn’t have to be as intense as rape, all though it can be. It can also be as simple as your father telling you that you’re eating too much which caused you to feel ashamed, embarrassed and guilty so you then started hiding food.
Whatever the event was it had a sharp enough impact that wired your brain to remember the feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that are still replaying in your everyday life and keeping you stuck struggling with your weight.
You may be in an adult body but your emotions are running from the age when the pattern of your weight loss challenge started.
This is why diets and exercise programs don’t last!
You are trying to fix the behavior as an adult when the emotional conditioning is that of a younger age and has been ingrained in you for years, maybe even most of your life!
Have you ever tried to tell a child what to do when they are angry or frustrated?
You don’t get very far if you use logic.
The child wants their way and they are going to have it, no matter what!
This is what you are trying to do when you go on a diet.
Diets are like an alcoholic trying to get sober by telling themselves they’re done with booze! They are only going to drink clean healthy liquids from now on.
That never works!
You have to awaken to the understanding that your emotional body gets triggered and relapses back to the age you were when the behavior first started. If you don’t, nothing you do will have lasting effects on your weight loss efforts.
Here is a good example of what I’m talking about…
Do you eat when you get bored?
The emotional part of you that eats when you get bored is at the age when you first created that pattern, which is probably a child or teenager.
Every time you feel bored the emotions of a child or teenage enter your body and you act accordingly.
The great thing is you are living in the time of Awakening. Awakening to who and what you are and how to create a life and body you want.
It’s time don’t you think?
