3 Reasons You Don’t Lose Weight!

You know how it is by now. You’re not happy with your weight so you go on a diet or start exercising. You start to get the results you want and feel excited.

Then, life gets in the way and you stop doing what you were doing and end up at the same weight or worse…you’re larger!

You may have thought…

  • It’s about willpower. (NOPE!)
  • You’re too busy. (Probably and still, NOT The main reason!)
  • It wasn’t the right program for you. (NOT EVEN CLOSE!)

Here it is sweet-sister!

There are three main reasons you’re stuck in a body you don’t love!

#1 Your Nutrition (Okay, this is a given)

#2 Your Environment (Yep, did you see this one coming?)

#3 What you think about your body and how you feel about your life (HUGE reason you stay stuck)

#1 Your Nutrition

You have over 50-trillion cells in your body and there are only two things that feed them. (drum-roll please) They are nutrition and Love. We’ll get to love in the third reason you don’t lose weight below.

What you eat has a big impact on EVERY cell of your body. You are either feeding your cells food that helps them thrive or keeps them from functioning optimally. You feel this in your energy, clarity of mind, body weight, digestion and more.

Did you know every cell of your body is a mini-you?

Every cell has a nervous system, digestive system, immune system. Your cells know how to create your body because you are a bigger version of them! Isn’t that AWESOME!

I seriously love that! =)

What you eat matters so much more than just your weight.

#2 Your Environment

Your environment is the second reason you don’t lose weight and this reason may not be so familiar.

The air you breathe, the home you live in, the job you have and the people you are around, all can affect your health, weight and how you feel about yourself.

If you live in a stressful home, have unhappy relationships, feel overworked and/or don’t like the people at work, this is contributing to your health and your weight!

I once had a woman who struggled with depression and when I went to train her, I saw she had a picture of a single tree in an empty field in her office. I told her to replace that picture with something that makes her smile. =)

The energy the pictures around you, matter!

Do you like them? Do they make you feel good when you look at them?

If not, replace them.

One thing I ask women to do when they come to my Live In A Body You Love 4-day retreat is to clean their home before coming and sage every corner to clear the energy. Then, when they go home, sage again.

You are an energy being sweet-lady.  Every cell in your body is energy.

If you are living in a stressful home or job, think of ways to reduce the stress.

Here are a few ideas:

  • Get in nature and go for a walk during lunch
  • Play some fun music for 10-minutes after you get home
  • Give yourself and others a break from being perfect and practice forgiveness

Live in a Body You Love#3 What you think about your body

Do you remember above where I told you that love feeds your cells?

It’s true.

The energy of love actually feeds the cells of your body and allows them to thrive!

The reverse is true as well.

The energy of disliking your body, feeling unworthy, unlovable, angry, resentful, jealous and any other negative emotion diminish the strength and vitality of your cells. Those feelings lead to living in a body you don’t love and can move you toward disease.

Here is the thing…what you feel the most will cause a conditioning in your cells to crave that emotion every day. This is why it’s so hard to change. The cells in your body are addicted to the emotion that you want to let go of.

If you’ve been disliking your body and putting yourself down for a really long time, the over 50 trillion cells in your body are conditioned to repeat those feelings every day and will literally send signals to your brain to think thoughts that give them the emotion they want!

What can you do?

One of the best things is to get out of your environment and create a new emotional conditioning so you can return to create a life in a body you love!
