Most Harmful Food Sensitivities
Most people don’t understand their body. They eat whatever is convenient and tastes good.

There are 2 main foods to stay away from during your detox:

  • Gluten and Grains
  • Dairy

What is Gluten?

Gluten is the protein found in most baked goods, bread, cereal and most whole grains. It is the sticky substance that holds the food together.

The problem with gluten is many people can not break it down in the digestive system. When this happens the protein in the gluten cannot be broken down and used in the body so the person is eating calories but not able to utilize the nutrition in it.

Another problem is those with irritable bowel syndrome can become bloated, cramp and/or experience diarrhea when they eat gluten. The starches and sugar in gluten are fermented by intestinal bacteria causing this problem.

Why is dairy bad for you?

Wow, dairy lobbyists sure did a number of the American people!

Dairy is wonderful if you’re a calf aiming to be a 400-500 pound cow!

They say that you need to consume dairy to help keep your bones strong. Not true!

Did you know countries with lowest rates of dairy and calcium consumption (like those in Africa and Asia) have the lowest rates of osteoporosis?

Vitamin D is actually shown to be much more important than calcium to prevent bone fractures.

Some research shows that dairy consumption can increase the body’s level of insulin-like growth factor a known cancer promoter.

Lastly, about 75% of people around the world cannot adequately digest dairy products and are known as being lactose intolerant.

Other reasons dairy is not your best choice of healthy food:

  • Full of saturated fat (Remember the calf wanting to be 400-500 pounds!)
  • Aggravates irritable bowel syndrome
  • It includes estrogen giving you higher risk of breast cancer
  • Protein in cow’s milk produces insulin like growth factor one, which increases cancer growth
  • Can increase weight
  • Cows are genetically modified to produce milk through pregnancy

Around age 2 to 5, we stop producing the enzyme needed to properly metabolize lactose, the sugar in milk.

Our bodies are not meant to consume milk regularly.

It’s been shown that it’s better to get calcium from plant-based food sources than from dairy.

There are two things that create cravings in the body:

#1: The ups and downs of your insulin levels. These means SUGAR of ANY KIND!

#2 The addictive nature of food that is manufactured these days.

Breaking FREE means to stop cravings before they start! Once it begins FORGET IT! The urge to overeat is stronger than a heroin addiction, alcoholic addiction or smoking addiction!

It WILL NEVER Be About Will-Power!

It is simply about not allow the craving to have it’s first chemical reaction in your body! This means do not eat foods or drink beverages that start the addiction!

Your appetite is controlled by hormones and neurotransmitters and those are controlled by what you eat!

The saying, “you are what you eat” is no joke!

Here is how it works: Emotions are chemical reactions in your body that shift the energy or vibration in your body to feel that emotion.

What you eat creates chemical reactions in your brain which is where emotions start so food plays a MAJOR role in your body’s ability to relax or stay stressed!

Sugar = stress (No doubt about it!)

Eating a clean diet full of greens, high quality meats, good fat and free of sugar, processed or fried foods can support a better mental outlook.

Emotional Addiction

Your body has literally become your mind and will send signals to your brain to think thoughts and crave foods that keep you feeling the same feelings so your cells vibrate at the same frequency.

This is why nothing changes for most women and why detoxing is so important and then practicing what you’re learning.

Emotional Addiction to Food

Before detoxing you may have been stimulating your body with sugar, alcohol, caffeine and artificially processed foods that put you on an emotional roller coaster ride!

When you feed your body that way, it’s not able to fully feel your true emotions.

Eating A Poor Diet Can Block Out Emotions!

This is one reason people choose sugar when they are feeling something they don’t want to feel!

Sugar hides negative emotions and leaves you feeling good but it’s not a true feeling of good that comes from your heart. It’s artificial and you will eventually crash and need another pick me up. If you don’t get another pick me up, you could get angry, frustrated, irritated, sad or some other negative emotion.

It’s Time To Give Yourself Permission To Feel what’s truly happening in your body! This can be life transforming if you let it!

Without stuffing your emotions with food give yourself the opportunity to heal both physically and emotionally!

When is it time to feel and heal in your life?

You only have a short time to do it. I think NOW would be a great time! 🙂

Take time for yourself with this processes! You are worth it!

Feeling Practices:

  • Check in with yourself daily and asking: “How am I feeling?”
  • Get curious
  • Don’t make it wrong
  • Accept and take care of ALL of you
  • Decide who’s driving the car
  • Get out in nature
  • Give yourself permission to ask someone to listen to you without talking in return and, if they are open, ask them not judge what you say. Ask them to give you a hug in acknowledgment of your courage to let them into your heart and share your truth.
  • Practice gratitude for who you are! You can journal a list of what you appreciate about yourself and others daily and watch how that lifts your mood!
  • If you used to turn to food out of emotions, create a plan of what you’ll do instead of turning to food and let us know below.

The foundation of your nutrition should nourish your body’s systems, leave you feeling energetic and at a healthy weight!
