Possible New Cause For Depression
Depression affects 6.7% of the U.S. population. That’s roughly 14.8 million people. Women are twice as likely to suffer from depression than men.
Suffering from depression can be debilitating and lonely.
I want to offer a different reason for depression that you may have never thought about.
I completely agree that it is due to a chemical imbalance since ALL emotions start in the brain and go down to connect to receptor sites in every cell of your body…and there’s more!
I recently went to a Marianne Williamson event and she said something that opened my eyes to a cause of depression that I have to share with you!
She talked about the atrocities around the world affecting us all on a vibrational level. That we are not immune to what happens on the other side of the planet and in our own community.
If you are a sensitive woman who feels emotions deeply, how can you not be affected by the vibrational suffering of others around the world and in your own city?
I know it has affected me.
If you’ve been following my emails, you know that I love staying positive and seeing what’s good about the world and the truth is, there are things that break my heart and are so unbelievably disturbing that it’s hard for me to comprehend they actually happen.
I believe women are feeling the effect of what is happening around the world on a vibrational level and it’s breaking our hearts. It’s time we do something about it.
Ways to bring more joy into your life:
First, take back your life by getting on a regular exercise program and eating more live foods!
If you can, go outside and a take a walk as often as possible. Being in nature automatically elevates your spirit! The vibration of the outdoors is much higher than in your home. Get outside!
Plus, exercise releases endorphins that change the chemicals in your brain to release good feelings into your body! Find an exercise program that works for you.
You can get 2-weeks free to my Get Fit program right now and do workouts filmed around the world that include positive affirmations that leave you feeling good both physically and emotionally.click here!
Next, take a look at your diet. What you eat affects your emotions in a BIG WAY!
My Get Fit and Detox program goes into this in detail and that program starting soon.
To help alkaline your system and give you more energy start eating more live foods like:
- Dark greens (kale, collard greens, spinach)
- Veggies (My favs: Broccoli, cauliflower, squash)
- Nuts, seeds, almonds
- Good fat (Avocados, coconut oils, olive oils)
- Dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa (I have a square almost every night.)
The foods above contain magnesium and my friend, Ocean Robbins has a GREAT article about magnesium and depression that has some pretty interesting info. You can check it out click here!
Second, know that it’s not a mistake you’re here on the planet at this time in history. You chose to come here, as I did. You are part of the change we all want to see in the world!
Open your heart and allow yourself to be guided by your intuition and help create that change.
Your heart feels heavy when you are depressed. Take a deep breath, exhale with a sigh, which helps release stuck energy in your body. Then, give yourself permission to let go of thoughts and start to open your heart and feel into your community.
Think to yourself, “How can I show love and kindness”?
You may not be inspired to do something right away and one day soon, it will happen. Follow your intuition when you feel inspired.
When you start to become the change you want to see in the world, your heart will feel lighter as it starts to open and not only will you feel better, but you’ll create a ripple effect that will be felt by many.
I saw a homeless man on the corner when I was on my way to the grocery store. I had an inspiration to get him a hot meal from the store. I always follow an inspiration that can show love and kindness.
When I came back, he was gone. I thought to myself, “Someone needs this meal,” so I drove downtown looking for someone.
The first homeless man I came upon, I said, “Excuse me.” As soon as he turned around, I knew it wasn’t for him. I apologized and kept driving.
I came to a stop light and saw a woman who looked frustrated sitting next to a cement pillar. I didn’t know if she was homeless but felt like the meal was for her. However, she was on the other side of the road and it wasn’t convenient for me to pull over.
There was a homeless vet (he had a sign) on my right so I rolled down the window and said, “Excuse me. I have a hot meal for you.” He replied, “We actually get meals but there is a woman over there ( the woman I just saw) who missed it and she’s really hungry and upset. She’ll love this!”
I felt that my inspiration to get a hot meal was lined up with her vibration of wanting a meal she missed. I was her answered prayer and in return, I left feeling happy and part of my community.
Here is your practice: Open your heart sweet sister and follow your intuition. Get out of your head and into your heart. Let it guide you to answer a prayer for someone. It doesn’t have to be huge. Small waves can have big impacts! You will be AMAZED how a small gesture of kindness will change your life, bring you more joy and help make this world a better place!
Lastly, go to your doctor and discuss your options. You may want to seek alternative methods first before getting on pharmaceutical pills. There are much more solutions for depression these days.
Here is a GREAT resource for natural alternatives to depress. Always check with your doctor before adding anything new to make sure it doesn’t affect meds you’re currently taking. 23 Natural Alternatives click here!
It’s time to stop making pharmaceutical companies rich and start healing our hearts and together, changing our world for the better!
